Xiaomi has recently unveiled its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which is the bigger version of the Xiaomi 15. This new phone is one of the first to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Along with this powerful processor, the 15 Pro also brings some significant upgrades compared to its predecessor.
One of the notable improvements is the display of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. While the screen size remains at 6.73 inches, the LTPO OLED panel now features slimmer borders and a micro-curved design with subtle curves on all four corners. The new M9 luminous material has enabled the display to reach a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Additionally, it maintains a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200px and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, along with an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for added security. Xiaomi has also included Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 protection to enhance durability and prevent scratches.
In terms of the camera setup, the Xiaomi 15 Pro boasts an overhauled triple camera system. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with an OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor, accompanied by a new 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom that also functions as a tele-macro lens. The third camera is a 50MP ultrawide unit, offering versatility in capturing different types of shots.
One of the most impressive upgrades in the Xiaomi 15 Pro is its massive 6,100 mAh battery capacity. This beefy battery supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring that users can stay powered throughout the day. The phone runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2 interface layered on top, providing a smooth and efficient user experience.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro comes in several color options, including Grey, White, Green, and a premium Rock Silver version with a 3D water ripple effect. Pricing for the Xiaomi 15 Pro starts at CNY 5,299 ($742) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, going up to CNY 6,499 ($910) for the top-of-the-line model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
