Cinema 4D Enhancements

Swiss-based software company Maxon has just released exciting updates for its popular Maxon One product suite, including software like Cinema 4D, Redshift, ZBrush, and more. The updates bring a host of new features and improvements that will revolutionize the workflow for content creators working in 2D and 3D design, motion graphics, visual effects, and beyond.

New Features in Cinema 4D

The latest version of Cinema 4D, 2025.1, introduces a powerful Boolean generator that allows artists to easily create complex shapes from animated elements. This new algorithm streamlines the modeling process by allowing shape addition and subtraction, making it easier than ever to work with intricate geometry while maintaining high frame rates. The flexible user interface enables users to combine multiple inputs and operations into a single boolean object, a significant upgrade from the previous version’s limitation of just two inputs.

Additionally, Cinema 4D now offers precise control over particle behavior with custom properties and the Particle Node Modifier, part of the growing GPU-accelerated Unified Simulation toolset. Quality-of-life improvements include enhanced USD import/export, improvements to XRef performance, and interactive tutorials in the learning panel to simplify concepts and accelerate the learning process.

Redshift and ZBrush Updates

Redshift 2025.2 continues to bring improvements to Toon rendering, faster renders in ZBrush and Cinema 4D, and support for fully three-dimensional contours. Tighter substance integrations with Adobe solutions will enhance workflows, while the Redshift Random Material Switch and improved cross-platform AI-based denoising will make renders faster and more efficient.

ZBrush for iPad will now have enhanced cross-platform compatibility, allowing users to easily transfer projects from iPad to desktop for further refinement, animation, and rendering. The software will offer GoZ updates for bidirectional exchange between ZBrush for iPad, Cinema 4D, Maya, and 3DSMAX.

Maxon Studio and Red Giant Updates

Red Giant 2025.2 includes updates in Maxon Studio and Universe that make it easy for content creators to refine their videos with new effects, transitions, and motion templates. Maxon One, the bundle that includes tools for 3D animation, motion graphics, filmmaking, sculpting, and more, offers software like Cinema 4D, Red Giant, ZBrush, Red Shift, Forger, and more.

In addition to these updates, 3D artist Patrick 4D has partnered with Maxon to create a collection of digital gingerbread cookies in ZBrush for the holiday season. Users can customize the cookies with decorations and share them with the Maxon community.

Maxon’s chief product and technology officer, Philip Losch, expressed excitement about the new releases, stating that the company aims to make the lives of creative professionals easier and more enjoyable with each update. The enhancements in this release inspire innovation across diverse creative fields, from broadcast and film to branding, character creation, world-building, and beyond.
