However, with the new interactive element, listeners can now direct the AI DJ to switch genres, adjust the mood, or play tracks from specific artists. To access these features, users can simply search for the AI DJ in the search bar and press the DJ button to make requests via voice commands. For quick mood changes, a simple tap of the DJ button will do the trick.
Spotify initially introduced the AI DJ feature in the U.S. and Canada in February 2023 before expanding globally in August of the same year. Last year, the company also added support for a Spanish-speaking AI DJ, catering to a wider audience of music lovers. Additionally, Spotify offers another AI feature that allows users to create playlists through text prompts, enhancing the overall music streaming experience for its users.
