ODL’s Impact-Rated Fiberglass Entry System Wins 2026 Editors’ Pick
Architect’s Newspaper recognized the door system, which uses a removable uPVC frame designed for severe-weather performance and easier servicing.

ODL’s Impact Rated Fiberglass Entry System with Keystone Frame Technology has received an Editors’ Pick in Architect’s Newspaper’s 2026 Best of Products Awards. The system was recognized in the Openings – Doors category, where the award program’s jury considered innovation, aesthetics, performance, sustainability and value.
The product pairs a fiberglass entry system with a lightweight uPVC frame. ODL says the design combines severe-weather protection with changes intended to make installation and later servicing easier. The award connects the product with an audience of more than 1 million architects and other design professionals, according to Architect’s Newspaper.
The frame’s patent-pending Grip-and-Release System uses interlocking stems to hold it in place without permanent adhesive. ODL says the frame can be removed for service without damage, a feature that distinguishes it from permanently attached frames.
A frame designed for service
Keystone uses a modern 3/8-inch flat profile, welded miter corners and snap-on interior cover caps. The caps conceal screw plugs, while the uPVC construction reduces the weight and finishing challenges associated with traditional aluminum frames, ODL says.
Other design details address installation and finishing. A co-extruded seal is intended to limit debris between the frame and glass and reduce paint seepage. An H-Channel helps align and cushion the insulated glass to prevent damage, according to ODL.
Weather ratings and glass options
ODL says Keystone is certified to meet Florida’s and Texas’ severe-weather requirements at ±65 DP. The frame meets High Velocity Hurricane Zone and Wind-Borne Debris Region standards when paired with ODL Impact Rated Doorglass; the company describes it as a solution for high-wind and severe-weather environments.
The frame comes in multiple standard and specialty sizes and works with a range of ODL impact-rated doorglass styles, including decorative and textured options. The award announcement does not give pricing, availability dates or details about testing beyond the stated certifications and standards.
