Samsung has recently announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Ring in several Gulf countries and eastern European markets. This smart wearable comes in nine different sizes, three finishes, and offers features like AI-powered health tracking and sleep monitoring through various sensors. With a claim of up to seven days of battery life on a single charge, it operates on the Samsung Health platform.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is now accessible in countries such as Bahrain, Bulgaria, Kuwait, Oman, Romania, Qatar, and the UAE. In the UAE, the starting price is AED 1,499 (around Rs. 34,000), while it costs BGN 879 (around Rs. 40,000) in Bulgaria and RON 2,225 (around Rs. 40,000) in Romania. The wearable is available in sizes ranging from five to 13 and can be purchased in Titanium Black, Titanium Gold, and Titanium Silver finishes.
One of the standout features of the Samsung Galaxy Ring is its PPG sensor, which can detect irregular heart rhythms in the wearer. This sensor is part of a three-sensor system that also includes a temperature sensor and accelerometer. Additionally, Samsung has included its Health AI features to monitor various health metrics. Users can receive a Sleep Score, snoring analysis, and details on sleep metrics like movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
The base size five version of the Samsung Galaxy Ring weighs 2.3 grams and is 7.0mm wide, while the size 13 version weighs 3 grams. It boasts up to seven days of battery life and comes with a clamshell design charging case that features an LED indicator to check the battery status. The wearable is IP68 rated, making it resistant to water and dust, and can withstand depths of up to 100 meters with its 10ATM rating.
In addition to the Samsung Galaxy Ring, Samsung has also been granted a patent for a Tri-Fold Smartphone with a specialized barrier layer for enhanced durability.
