01 / OVERVIEW

Cloud Computing at TUP

Cloud Computing teaches you to build and run systems at planetary scale — container orchestration, serverless platforms, storage and the networking that ties it together.

Students operate real clusters in our data center and learn the reliability engineering that keeps services online.

Frequently asked

Which cloud platforms will I use?

You'll work on our own on-prem cluster and with the major public clouds — the skills transfer across all of them.

Is this the same as DevOps?

It overlaps. You'll learn DevOps and SRE practices, plus the deeper systems knowledge behind them.

Do students run real production systems?

Yes — in the Cloud Data Center lab, complete with on-call rotations for student-run services.
