Stardew Valley fans can look forward to the upcoming 1.6 update, which is set to launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on November 4. Creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has confirmed that the new 1.6.9 update will also be available on all platforms, including PC, on the same day.
The 1.6 update is a massive one, filled with gameplay tweaks and quality of life improvements both big and small. The highlight of the update is the addition of the new Meadowlands farm type. While players will be able to continue their existing saves in Stardew Valley 1.6, Barone suggests that some of the new content may be best experienced in a fresh playthrough.
Barone reassured fans on Twitter that everything is still on track for the November 4 release date. The 1.6.9 update, currently in beta, includes work portraits for Sam and Shane when they’re at JojaMart, along with various balance changes, quality of life tweaks, and bug fixes.
